Luxury Italian Leather
A maison in formation. Full-grain Italian hides, considered hardware, and a small first chapter of leather goods — released only to those on the private list.
Pelle Oro — Italian for leather of gold — is a small house being built around a quiet idea: that the most valuable mark on an object is the one you sense before you see.
Our pieces will carry no monogram printed across them, no logo tape, no patterned canvas. The gold lives in the hide itself — in the warmth of full-grain Tuscan and Piedmontese leather, in edges painted by hand, in hardware finished to a champagne patina that softens with wear.
Pelle Oro is being prepared with established Italian tanneries and a single atelier. The first chapter will be released quietly, in limited number, to those on the private list.
Our signature is a single piece of architecture — a vertical P and a circular O, drawn together so that neither letter is complete without the other. It is built to be cast, not printed.
On finished pieces it will appear quietly: a turn-lock on a top handle, a recessed plate on the inside of a wallet, a polished disc on a belt strap. Champagne brass at launch, with rarer finishes planned for later chapters.
The opening collection is intentionally narrow — built around the objects we use daily and keep for years. No store. No drops. Released once, by invitation.

Wallets & small leather goods
Bifolds, cardholders, and zip pouches in full-grain calf. Skived edges, recessed hardware, no exterior branding.
Belts
Single-piece vegetable-tanned straps with a low-profile PO plate buckle. Offered in three widths, two leathers.
Travel & accessories
A weekender, a document folio, a passport sleeve, and a key fob. Built for years of wear, finished to soften, not fade.
We source from a small number of established Italian tanneries working in the slow tradition — vegetable-tanned calf from the Consorzio Vera Pelle, full-grain box calf from a Piedmontese mill in operation since the nineteenth century, and a soft nappa for linings.
Each piece is cut, skived, glued, stitched, and edge-painted by hand in a single Italian atelier. Stitch density is set to eight per inch. Edges are finished in four passes. Nothing ships until it has rested twenty-four hours after final burnishing.
Full-grain Italian hides, vegetable-tanned.
One atelier. Hand-cut, hand-finished.
Designed to soften and patina, not to age out.
“The mark is not on the leather.
— Note from the studio
The mark is the leather.”
We are preparing a small first edition for clients on our private list. No promotional mail. No marketplace. One quiet note when the atelier is ready.
